gunthar says "Tucked away in a residential area, this is a very nice park that makes excellent use of its space. Great signage so you never get lost. Concrete tee pads, parking at both ends of the course. The lot a...moret the 9th hole has a pavilion with a grill and a bathroom(no running water). There are plenty of trash cans and no litter to speak of which is nice for such a well traveled course. The crowd was friendly and there were occasionally pedestrians or bike riders but this is clearly a space dedicated to disc golf.
The scenery was nicer than just any random Midwestern park. There is a crab-apple orchard that smells like cider in the fall and attracts wildlife. The apples are tasty also. The steam and surrounding hilly banks are used to good effect to create both good scenery and interesting shots.
The whole course is wooded which makes playing this course a precision and control game. But the difficulty does not stop the course from being fun. Shooting through and hooking around the trees makes for much more interesting play than just heaving your disk into a field.
One of the best I have played on so far in my short time at this sport....less"
gemarsh says "I hadn't played here for about 5 years, and heard there had been recent changes. The course is much more enjoyable with the new hole locations, Clearing out of brush, and the new bridges. GOOD JOB!!!"
billydisc10 says "best course ever! lots of trees."
renohaney says "Roscoe is a great wooded course that rewards technical shots. The short tees and the long both present their own difficulties when playing. The Medina volunteers have put a tremendous amount of work...more into the course and it definitely shows; the fairways are nice and clean, the benches are a welcome relief, and the signage is superb. This course is worth a play!...less"

kp says "A very nice course, reworked so that it is easier to follow but more challenging to play (according to the person I went with, this was my first visit). you will need some control to play here or you...more'll be fishing you disc out of the creek, buried in some brush, or blasting some trees. a great mix of shots with many dog legs, some you may not see the pin until you get around the curve. the baskets themselves are very new looking with some great mulch around them that help your disc "stick" when you hit close by. those same baskets are in some tough spots; some you over throw and you'll be down a steep decline or in the water, others will be hidden in some trees forcing you to throw to an open lane on approach. the best is the one is after a down hill shot over the trees with a second shot that forces you to throw over the creek back in some woods - do you choke up to the bridge or go for it and try to clear it all?
All around a fun and challenging course that is well maintained and looks great. the down sides are finding the correct entrance (look for the steel gates between 2 houses), the fact that there is no clear way to leave after the 18th, and you will be throwing around a walking path for a few holes, so nothing to detrimental. i want to get some more control on my drives before I come back but I definitely want to come back. This course does make my home course, Hudson Springs, look like a walk in the park (pun intended) so I will be using it to measure the progress of my game. Thank you to all the people that make that course look and play so well....less"
chainsniper says "This was a fun course to play. Early in the season, it can be rough goings, but I've heard they've fixed it up a bit. This hole has a lot of climbing and descending, but the holes are fun. You have ...moreto watch out for a lot of trees and the creek (it comes in to play on a few holes). This was challenging for us but we had a great time. There is one hole where you either have to throw over a tree line, or just pray to God your disc magically finds an opening. Have fun! :)...less"
teamjenkins says "Ed Headrick would probably not like the design at Roscoe anymore. We did keep his original hole #4 though. There are some awesome holes that force you to have a bagful of different shots. Two years ag...moreo I shot a -10 from long tees, this year with the new pin placements I just try to stay close to par. With the two tourneys this year we can see what a good score is.
We should have updated tee signs in a month or so. Anyone that can lend a hand with the course please drop me a line.
The waking path sorta sucks, but weekdays it's not too bad. You have to yield sometimes because people are oblivious to their surroundings.
When I'm out of state I look forward to getting back to this course.
Sure bring the kids (they have to start somewhere) but let the real discgolfers play thru.
Yeah, if we only had more cowbell. (Christopher Walken is the bomb.)...less"
basmith42 says "The front 9 were difficult and rewarding. I had to shoot better than I normally would to score slightly worse. But, I'm better for playing it. The back 9, however, proved too difficult to follow. ...moreWe gave up trying to find the 15th hole. Very frustrating.
A couple local players told us the recently moved the holes. This could have contributed to our difficulty....less"

billgod says "once you find the entrance to the course (it's between 2 houses in an allotment). It's a nice place to go. This has some of my favorite holes out of any course I have played. fortay says "This course is difficult to follow since the tee signs don't show a map of where the hole is. It's not too difficult to figure out. A lot of people were there, but not too bad. Course requires all the...more shots you can bring and has some holes you won't see anywhere else. Scenery is nice, but grafitti is a bit disconcerting. Just get outta there before dark. The first time through the course is tough, but once you play it and understand the layout and hole location, it plays great....less"
flyindutchman says "Bring a map or ask a local to guide you around as the tee signs have been removed willy-nilly. There are blind shots, drop shots, anhyzer shots, hyzer shots, tree shots, scoop shots, hammer shots and...more all sorts of other shots to get your butt out of the trouble you will throw yourself in. There are also a fair number of blind shots that involve a pedestrian bikeway run clean through the park on most of the holes which makes some throws an accident waiting to happen. The place has been through a lot of wear and tear over the years, too.
In summary, tough, but fair course. Make sure you have your game on, particularly from the pro tees or you will be chewed up and spit out. Give a visit to the park sometime to play the first course in our great state.

dandavis says "Being the oldest course in ohio I feel that it was very disrespectfull that the parks department put a walking path through it. very challenging and fun to play."
akronjam37 says "this is a challenging and fun 18 hole course. there is a creek running through most of the course and it is mostly in the woods. theres a pedestrian walkway that goes through some holes but its not ...moretoo annoying. there are alot of fun holes in the front and it gets more challenging in the back....less"
michaelmote says "This is the first course in Ohio that I played, back in 1996. It is a tight, technical course, with some elevation changes and a creek running through it that is a factor on several holes. There are...more some difficult to find holes (7 to 8, 9 to 10), but the well worn paths will lead you there eventually. The new bike/walking path takes away from the disc golf experience a little, as it introduces "Human Hazards"....less"
marklibbey says "This is my home course so I thought I would write a review. Bring your A game if you come here. Don't expect to go on a stroll through the park out in an open field. Expect to hit some trees and possi...morebly take a dip in the water. First tee starts out open with trees on the right and water to the left but you shouldn't have too much trouble keeping it in the fairway. Good opening hole. After a few holes expect to thread the needle and keep shots low. The back nine has a lot of elevation change and is very wooded.Holes 13,14, and 15 are elevated tees through the trees and can ruin a good round. There a a few breather holes but you must be accurate. Beginners, I hope you bring some salsa for the tacos you are going to make because it can be hard on you if you aren't on your game. I would recommend that some of the smaller brush and trees get cleared a little bit to make some of the tee shots and fairway shots a little more fair but it is worth the time to play....less"
danbraucher says "this course is one of the best in the area. long tees make it a REAL challenge. mature trees, water on 9 holes. wicked rough and ob. mad elevation changes, concrete tees. you must thread the needle to...more score well here. a few blind holes. very well thought out course and will test your every skill. great scenery. baskets are old and beat up but functional and tee markers are sometimes scketchy. long tees make 9 holes well over 300. all over 200. longest is 410 i believe. dont let footage #s fool you, this course plays long! absolutely worth a road trip and stay for a day....less"
ohiomike says "Once we figured we needed to enter the park via a side street, the course was a good time...a good time in the woods and a good time in the fairways. Sometimes had a difficult time locating the next ...moretee box, but overall a good day with my two youngsters....less"
patmurphy says "1st course in ohio. Will test all of you disc golf skills, beautiful scenery, some holes are wide open, some are down a hill, some up a hill, and some through a small wooded areas. LOTS OF TREES, AND ...moreTHORNS!!!! but this course is a historic disc golf landmark and a must play......less"
ironchef says "Overall this is a great course. Many holes have narrow fairways lined with thorny bushes and the thick shrubery everywhere make losing a frisbee a possability. Luckily there are both short and long ...moretees to play, depending on the player's skill level. The best part of this course is the massive amount of trees everywhere. Two holes actually require you to throw through a small forest to reach the hole. This course is equally difficult for both hyzer and anhyzer players. Plenty of hill shots, blind curves, and water hazards make this course as fun as it is difficult....less"
