aj311rules says "I had not played in about 9 years until I started back up a couple of weeks ago. I played this course in the morning after it had stormed the night before. A large tree was down on the 1st hole, makin...moreg the dog leg more challenging. This was a challenging course with a mix of wooded and prairie (???) holes.
One of my shots went off course and landed in the tall grass. A small deer fawn popped up right next to where the disc landed. It did not scatter until I got closer to retrieve the disc....less"
pattbone says "I was out of disc golf until about 1 month ago I overheard a couple of co-workers talking about a sport I had not played in 10 years.
I kinda asked if I could tag along one day.
And I wa...mores talked into driving down to Lancaster to play the Flat Rocks Course.
I LOVE IT> have been several times in the last month since I took up playing again.
My home course is Hoover in Columbus.
And Flat Rocks is a little shorter but just as challenging IMHO.
It reminds me of a shorter version of Big Run park that used to be on the west side of Columbus years ago..
Anywhoos. I will be frequenting Flatrocks for a long time to come.

alex says "difficult course but fun. holes are a nice mix of wooded and open fields. not for the faint of heart but also a good course to learn on. it'll teach you to use a wide variety of shots and it is very e...moreasy to track you progress here. also the gas station down the hill has a small selection of discs and you can custom order discs there...less"
dzznutz says "Went with a couple guys today. Did two rounds. Very nice course. Clean and well kept. Rolling hills to throw accross and over. Nice dog legs from the long tees. Lots and Lots of trees. New Fav."

mrbolden says "nice rolling hills and wooded areas. very challenging for both beginners and experienced players."
fortay says "I've played a few rounds and lost a few discs in the carnivorous rough. A great, well-maintained course."
JTMelton says "This is a nice course with a nice mix of open, woods and elevation. Long and short tees available. Some of the holes require accuracy to stay out of the brush so that just adds to the challenge."
hunt says "This is where i learned to play. It gave me every shot i know. On drives yu have to make sure you are accurate or you score will reflect it. A common complaint is the shule that many will lose their d...moreisc in. This sometimes is a problem for keeping the beginners involved in the sport. I recommend you ALWAYS put your name on your disc. I recently 2'd every hole ont the course and it took me nearly 3 years to do so. The longevity of this course is going to be great and it will always be a challenge. Fall and winter are usually more enjoyable due to dying shule, while summer and spring make this course even more challenging. happy frolfing...less"
guest says "A balanced course from the point of view of a left-hander: 1, 5, 6, 12, 15, 16 are left hand friendly; 2, 3, 4, 7, 13, 14 are right hand friendly, and the rest of the course doesn't play favorites. ...moreYou don't see repetition on Flatrocks. There are six holes in the woods, these tend to favor right hand throws (4 right and 2 left), but this is made up for on the holes that are on the edges of the woods those favor lefthanders (4 left and 2 right). For all players, the thing that makes Flatrocks fun is that there is a lot of risk vs reward on this course....less"
mboden says "Nice course, rarely crowded, no signs yet, but enough golfers out there to have worn paths between the holes now...shule (grass) can be hard to find a disc in when in the field holes, be sure to keep ...morean eye on it during summer, it's cut during winter. A number of woods holes....all holes have long tees, which make it a different course entirely.......not many amenities, but dogs are welcome (it's about the only other use at the park) (it's a nature preserve), plus dogs are allowed to be off their leash at this park....very nice setting, second highest point in Fairfield county, well designed course, natural tees, a few are kinda rough....drains quickly after rains...not as difficult as Great Seal...facilities include picnic tables and porta john in summer only, gravel parking lot. No water....less"
spud says "There isn't much to Flatrocks except a better than average course. There are longer courses and more scenic courses. There are courses with concrete tee pads and neat little signs. This isn't any of t...morehat. This is a no-frills disc golf course. The people who do go there are out there for the fun of playing this great game and Flatrocks fills the bill on that account. Sure, the rough is REALLY rough. If you can't control your disc, or at least watch where it lands, go to a nice little manicured course. None of the holes are exceptionally hard but you'll need a variety of throws to play well....less"
roy says "I personally did not like this course. I've been to a dozen or so and this is the worst. ROUGH out of bounds areas, I got cut up with thorns and managed to get poision ivy. This course needs more mai...morentaince than the standard mowing, witch was decent.
My group lost multiple discs and we wasted a good hour searching for them. The map is not that great and the Tees are dirt and not well marked....less"

davidbogear says "Great setting. Mixed woods with open areas. Challenging, the kind of course that makes you come back to do better. Course is young and will be refined as over time. Hole signage is in the works."
lostplastic says "I love this course great play from the short tees and if you want, try the longs for a real course. When the Junk is LONG leave you plastic in there and walk away ( I say for the next tournament rop...moree the junk off and call it OB, then see who breaks PAR )...less"
