strikeking13 says "this course is challenging but some par 4 and 5 are questionable about their toughness. Some holes are challenging dodging in and out of trees. The front 9 is more wide open but the back nine you are ...moreengulfed in a forest. Be careful with throws off the back nine there is a very very deep ravine that is hard to get down and up for that matter. This course is very clean and almost no crowds the last couple times i went out. Hoover offers parking as long as practice baskets. They also have bonus holes around the outside of the complex. Only a 15 min drive from down town columbus located just off of Sunbury Road...less"

kp says "For a beginner and recreational player this was a tough course. Also, the course was set up for an upcoming tournament, so it was a little tougher than normal. I only played the “regular” 18 holes...more with #1 and #2 closed for maintenance before the tourney and used the short tees since none of my group has played here before. I enjoyed the front 9 which had some challenging but enjoyable holes. The back 9, mostly in the woods, is where things went badly; many blind holes and tight shots through the woods. With some accuracy the back 9 would be enjoyable as well. Nicely maintained course and a great park. Has a nice practice putting area by the parking lot. Worth a trip out for those looking for a challenge and has short tees on each hole so any skill level can play there....less"

If you have not been here. Come see us!
Great course.
Can be crowded early afternoon until dinner time.
Pole #17 is a beast. Beware. At least for me it is.
...more/> Hole #5 is being raised as I type.
Placed basket 6' higher with a set of wood stairs and all. NICE!
West side Challenge
And the BHM tourney are coming up VERY soon.
The curse is being worked on alot by volunteers.
And I am gratefull that we have dudes here in Columbus that care so much to advance the sports popularity.

The red tees can bring birdies.
The blue tees require you to bring an extra arm.
The front is mostly open and wi

The back is in a tree farm so accuracy is a must.
Don't bring the kids, unless you want to hunting for discs in the ravine and woods.
I have shot in the 40s, but mistakes can kill you.

baronvonben says "I love this course. I have just started playing it from the long tees and it is very challenging."

danbraucher says "i like the holes in the woods the best. very narrow fairways, tunnel shots, lots of left and right turns. 5 or 6 holes are wide open and somewhat lamebo. all in all extremely fun and challenging."

fortay says "Hoover is a great 27-hole course that requires most types of shots — tomahawk over some pine trees, short finesse backhands and some big distance drives. I had fun while shooting a 59 (would have ma...morede par if I knew how to putt). Scenery is pretty — the park has some holes in woods and some in the open. The back nine (labeled not with numbers but with letters) are a real treat — deuce and ace chances abound, but pesky pine trees make it interesting. My only beef with this park is that playing it the first time, navigation is difficult. I got turned around a few times, but as always, once you play it once, you won't have a problem. And of course, if you look at the overall park map, you'll be fine. The must play of central Ohio....less"

mcoppel says "Great course!"

mpython77 says "This course has the right mixture of everything. Long, short shots, good for working every aspect of your game. Whatever you do, be sure to play the back nine. Most of it is wide open but there is a l...moreittle section where you have to be very accurate with your throws due to the narrow channel of cleared pine trees. Everything is clearly marked, but make sure you check the basket configuration at the first tee because they tend to change things around for competitions. Pro tees on most of the holes, great course on a great location, highly recommended....less"

JTMelton says "This course is well worth the trip if you have never played it. 27 holes and most have short and long tees. Start in the open, go in the woods and finish the 27 in the open. roy says "Kickass course. 27 holes, concrete tees, good signs, great scenery, good targets and an awesome mix of everything. It can be a bit crowded on the weekends.

I can't go on enough about th
...moreis course. Its well maintained, well planned, well kept and challenging. It has A and B pins for pros and ameteurs. No restrooms but there is a port a crapper for the desperate.

The front nine is picturesque with a great view of the water. Very wide open, a bit windy at times.

The back nine is in the woods and is a ton of fun. The rough is not too bad, I haven't lost a disc there yet.

I would not reccomend it for kids under 12, Blendon down the road is better for families.

The new nine holes at the back of the park are a tough par 27. 4 of the holes are in a pine forrest (my favorite type of woods for golf, easy to find discs).I was trooling around and it looks like they are clearing out room for 9 more holes. So it just might become 2 full courses, that would kickass.

If you like to throw discs around you must go here.

kyle says "Front 9 and back 9 are two different worlds. Two tee positions on most holes make for widely different experiences. The front 9 is real open. From the white tees every hole is reachable in 1, but the ...moreblues provide a good challenge on most holes. The back 9 is extremely wooded, on the verge of being overgrown; especially from the blue tees. Easy to lose a disc in the woods on the back 9; keep a close watch on where your disc goes or say goodbye forever. It is the best course in Columbus, but unfotunatley there's not much to choose from right now. Might be worth traveling to to check out what Columubs has to offer, but by no means a must play....less"

mrbret says "I think think this course can be a challenge for most levels of play. Some nice open holes for newer players & a couple of tight ones on the back 9 for the more hard core players"

briancray says "This course has been a staple of Columbus disc golf for a long time. There are 27 holes. The first and last holes have a great view of Hoover Dam. The other holes are back in the woods, and can get ve...morery tight with a chance of poison ivy. All around a great choice if in Columbus for disc golf....less"
