If you are not local and would like to play Deis Hill Park post it and I will find the time to show you the course.
8ecause of recent events, I have given thought about starting a new self help group. It will be called the N.D.G.S.A. The National Discgolf Sandbaggers Association. I don't know how it will be financed. Maybe I could get some leftover government bailout money.
Disc golf is a hobby, a way of life, an enjoyment of an object flying through the air, a fun sport, something that can be enjoyed by all, WITHOUT spending a ton of money. It was not meant to be a business or money maker! Disc golf should be kept simple and fun for all.
I tried something today. I asked my disc golf pals to talk, move around and basically be idiots while I was driving, approaching and putting. In theory, if I could get used to this much crap during my play, maybe during a serious round a little movement out of the corner of my eye wouldn't mess me up. Little did I know that it would lead to something awesome. My fourth ace of the year!!!! Ryker was standing in the front left corner of the tee pad. Very close to the edge and talking. I went ahead and threw my shot on hole 7's red tee pad at Deis Hill Disc Golf Course in Dover,Ohio and hit an ace. I guess, "I'm cured" and can now deal better with disc golfers with little to no manners.
I just up loaded pics of my "man cave" Bengals room. I love it. I just added some new discs to the wall. My two ace discs. The black impact and the blue destroyer.
I have experienced the more you play with people the more relaxed you will feel. Play "your" game and don't try to out throw the other guy. I usually stare at a particular link in the chains when putting and try to hit it.A portable disc golf hole may also help. Gemarsh makes e'm.
