It's a busy park like D.Davis says, but if you have patience and are willing to wait a few seconds you'll be rewarded with a very good chalenging course. Yes people park their vehicles in some fairways. but it's not trashy park, in fact I wonder how many parks that have Disc Golf courses in the UNITED STATES or the WORLD for that matter have Park Departments and City leaders that have put in very valuable time and resources like the Wooster Park Department and the Wooster Chamber of Commerce has. I know for a fact that just last year they put in over ,000 worth of capitol improvements. Last year I was involved in the Scot days in which past and current alumni from the College of Wooster planted over 70 new trees in 2 different parks in Wooster, they helped build the steps that lead anyone down the little hill to the old trolley line that houses holes # 7 and # 8. The Chamber of Commerce actually choose DISC GOLF as their project for leadership Wooster, in which city leaders and their helpers pick a local project and help to improve it. In which they added a bridge over the little creek for all to use on hole # 18 and brought in so much dirt that they actually constructed a totally new hole where # 4 basket now lies. The park department has put next tee signs that actually point you to the next tee area. they also mulched every fairway. One could actually walk this park barefooted if they could keep their disc on the fairways. This park also boosts an outdoor Oylimpic sized Swimming Pool for thoose disc golfers whoose families might want to use while their Disc Golf family member goes and plays. There's a ice skating rink within a mile if you want to beat the heat and there's plenty of food establishments also within walking distance of the park.
Every hole over 200 feet has a novice tee for the beginer players to hone their skills and become better players instead of having to learn from the pro tees that some courses only offer.
The website for information about the club and it's activities can be found at www.woodga.com
Not all parks are just for DISC GOLFERS. And I haven't seen to many volenteers that whine about this park doing any volenteering. all they do is play. Well my friends in order for a course to develop character the disc golfers need to put down the discs and put back some of the love that they receive from playing this great game. I did just that with this picticular park. and when it's work day very few come and help out.
so please do come and visit this park on a nice day, shoot come and visit this nice park on a rotten day and you'll be rewarded with a Disc Golf course that has a lot of blood, sweat and deers (well I've only seen a few deers, but you get the idea) after all what do you expect when the park is located off of Friendsville road. Bring a friend and have some fun. but be considerate of others.
Watch your speed while driving in Wooster and Wayne county.

The above is very well put how can I add to that?
MORE PARKING for the ball diamonds!!!! That would help with them parking all over the place in that section of the park.
The front 9 don't have the car problem but it does have the walker with kid problem and the kids do like to pick up the discs. It is frustrating because I had that happen and I had asked as politely as I could for them to put the disc down. the kid did but the mother went off on me like a banshee. I remained calm and politely stated that I was well aware that the kid doesn't understand that the disc is used for a game. That was why I approached the way that I did and the other club members there agreed with me.
It went down like this.
On hole 8 I made my throw and it landed. Around the left of the walkway a mother and her kids were walking the path.
I started walking to the disc just in case.
The 4yr old picked the disc up.
I as politely as I could, stated "Please put that down. I need it there for the game we are playing. Thank You."
The kid dropped it right were she picked it up from with no problem.
The mother went off like I had just screamed my head off at her kid that wasn't aware of that being used for a game.
I yet again as politely as I could replied, "Yes ma'am I understand that fact. That is why I asked her to drop it the way I did. She dropped it right there, no problem."
The mother then tried to create more of a scene with it all and I just turned and went on to my disc and she kept walking.
The others that witnessed this, all were amazed that I didn't wig out on her. Needless to say the under the breath comments I made filled that spot.
Goes to show that sometimes no matter how polite you are to someone they will always want the arrgument. But the kindness will win out when they get tired of fighting and you don't.

I have to add this as well...
My wife is a Headstart teacher and deals with 3-5 yr olds all day every day. I have heard her with the kids in the classroom on how they promote polite talking etc.. That is why I knew that by asking the child in the manner I did she would put it down without a problem.
The mother on the otherhand almost made me get out the can of Bee Itch be gone.
I hope this helps someone else out if the occasion arises here or any other DGC.
