i went to check out the ottawa park today after hearing that there was one there. after a few detours and straightening out some bad directions i finally got to the park. my first thoughts were that it looked a little crowded with some of the other things at the park (shelter houses, playground equipment, baseball fields, ect.) but decided that would just add to the challenge to have to play around these things. after a quick search, i finally found the first basket, but then quickly learned that a basket alone doesn't make a disc golf course....you also need tees of some sortwhich this course had absolutly no type of tees (absolutly nothing at all to say where to begin to throw from and also no par ratings of any sort) which made this game pretty tough to play. but we drove a half hour to play this course and i didn't want to say the tip was a total waste, so we descided a spot to play from for the first hole and from there just threw from the that basket to the next hole (example: the first basket was the tee for hole 2 and so on) and we played this way up until the 7th or 8th hole when all of a sudden the course just sort of disappeared and we had to walk back the same way we came about a quarter of a mile to play from our imaginary tee for the next basket. after this the holes where then completly out of order and hard to find, not to mention setting up imaginary tee placements then became impossible. i give this dgc 2 thumbs down and i am currently trying to grow more hands so i can give it even more thumbs down. i will give this park one thing, it is a very nice looking park and it does have some serious potential, if only someone would go in rearrange the course a little bit and set up some tees and actually try to make this course remotley playable
