What a difference (night and day) between the open and wooded holes. Holes 1 - 6, 10, & 18 are WIDE open with asphalt tee pads. The only difficulties/obstacles on these holes is #6 is on top of a small mound, and #18 has GOT to be 600+ feet. #1 & #10 (due to woods) and #18 (due to OB) could be an issue (on the right) for understable or anhyzer RHBH throws. Certainly some 'ace' and 'birdie' potential for experienced players in these open holes.

Pick up a few in the open, but possibly LOSE a few strokes in the woods. At least one 90 degree dog-leg in the woods and more than one "S" fairway. Couple of holes have a 'choke point' a third of the way down the fairway that could cause some people difficulty maneuvering through. Signage is good but the tees in the woods leave somewhat to be desired. Most have a buried 4x4 as the line and poor to mediocre (shredded) mulching - I'm assuming it's a cost-saving measure. Aside from the poor tees, the wooded holes provide some good variety and should be sufficient challenge for beginner through advanced players (Don't know that PRO's would bother to venture that far out to play).

This is the second time I've played at Turtlecreek. Overall it is indeed a fun course to play (for those who love the sport) and I won't hesitate to play it again.

It's a little over 5 miles (3 miles east, 2 miles north then 0.3 more east) of the flea markets (Turtlecreek and Trader's World) at Monroe exit (#29 off I-75). If you're visiting/shopping on a weekend, check out the course for yourself and post what you think.
