Longest Day of Play

Yesterday, Saturday, August 29, the "Longest Day of Play" (rescheduled from the first day of summer - when the park was literally flooded out) - the Shoot the Breeze Disc Golf Club introduced 164 NEW people to disc golf. We gave them the opportunity to try putting, and then escorted them on a short excursion of holes 1 and 14 (red tees).

I don't know that we'll get any future players from this, but even today, so many people live in Ashtabula County and have no idea what disc golf is, let alone the fact that we have such a great course right here in their back yard...

Thanks to all the club members who helped - John & Deb, for the use of their canopy; Denver & LouAnn; Reggy & Mike; Jeff, Tom & Mike, Brandon & Emily; John & Lisa; and I'm sure I've forgotten some, and to those, my apologies.

TODAY at LSP - we are celebrating 10 years of disc golf at Lake Shore Park - the "Summer Breeze" Championships (for those who participated in our summer league), and then a party of sorts in the Rock Garden Pavilion...
